Whether you're newly diagnosed,
seeking ways to manage symptoms,
or simply need someone who understands,
I'm here for you.
Hi there! My name is Jane Franks and I'm an endometriosis mentor. Whether you're dealing with getting a diagnosis, managing symptoms or facing daily challenges, I'm here to lend an ear, share helpful tips, and guide you through the process of preparing for medical appointments, surgeries, or recoveries. Let's work together to achieve your goals and overcome obstacles that come your way.
My endometriosis symptoms started from when I first got my period. I battled with severe pain, bloating and fatigue but thought it was all normal. The pill helped decrease my pain and eased most of my symptoms. Eventually my fatigue and symptoms were so severe, I had to stop working. In 2020, I had my first laparoscopy and I was diagnosed with severe stage 4 deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE). Since then I have had 3 more surgeries including a bowel resection and a hysterectomy due to adenomyosis. Along the way I've faced overwhelming challenges and various procedures to manage my symptoms guided by a multi-disciplinary team.
I have a Physical Education degree and Massage Therapy diplomas and I have a great interest in the human body and how endometriosis affects us mentally and physically. I'm passionate about advocating for others who struggle to be heard and understood, knowing first hand the invisible battles we face. Living with endo isn't easy, and you're not alone!
Your journey is unique, but your pain is shared by many.
Together, we can find strength in validation and healing.
