About Me

Whether you're dealing with getting a diagnosis, managing symptoms or facing daily challenges, I'm here to lend an ear, share helpful tips, and guide you through the process of preparing for medical appointments, surgeries, or recoveries.

My endometriosis symptoms started from when I first got my period. I battled with severe pain, bloating and fatigue but thought it was all normal. The pill helped decrease my pain and eased most of my symptoms. Eventually my fatigue and symptoms were so severe, I had to stop working.

In 2020, I had my first laparoscopy and I was diagnosed with severe stage 4 deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE). Since then I have had 3 more surgeries including a bowel resection and a hysterectomy due to adenomyosis. Along the way I've faced overwhelming challenges and various procedures to manage my symptoms guided by a multi-disciplinary team.

I'm based in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. I have a Physical Education degree and Massage Therapy diplomas that has helped me develop a great interest in the human body and how endometriosis affects us mentally and physically. I'm passionate about advocating for others who struggle to be heard and understood, knowing first hand the invisible battles we face.
